MAXAM Tire has strengthened its relationship with CNH Industrial North America by providing its OTR solutions to CASE wheel loaders.

The new US site will be located in North Charleston, South Carolina, and will boast approximately 25,000 m2 (270,000 ft2). With initial investments of US$ 90 million, SHL is expected to create an estimate of 165 local employment opportunities. Operations are expected to launch by 2024.

Davis-Standard announced that Christian Eidt has been appointed Chief Information Officer. In his new role, Eidt will be an integral part of Davis-Standard’s senior management team, charged with transforming IT capabilities as the company moves toward an increasingly digital and data-enabled industrial environment. He will be responsible for IT strategy, corporate systems, data and analytics, and cyber security.

The DOE announced a selection of 30 projects that will receive $57.9 million in funding from the Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO). The DOE awarded $3 million to polySpectra and Fortify, along with National Renewable Energy Laboratory, MPI Systems, RePliForm Inc, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory to develop durable direct additive tooling for automotive lightweighting via Cyclic Olefin Resin-based composites

Akron Dispersions, Inc. announced that on July 18, 2022, Kayley Fishel-Hayat, Ph.D. will become Vice President of Technology of the company. Currently Technical Director, Dr. Fishel-Hayat has been with the company since 2019. Prior to working at Akron Dispersions, she was a scientist at Goodyear for 3.5 years.

At the 22nd international trade fair for plastics and rubber K 2022 WACKER will unveil industrial-grade silicone rubber compounds whose precursors are derived from plant-based raw materials. Several biomethanol-based product lines under the ELASTOSIL® eco umbrella will be launched, in-cluding one liquid and six solid silicone rubber grades, as well as selected SILMIX® silicone rubber compounds. The use of biomethanol in silicone production helps preserve fossil resources. The K 2022 tradeshow will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, October 19 – 26.
