The inaugural meeting of the Exhibitor Advisory Board has marked the start of the preparations for K 2028. The world’s leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry will take place at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany, from October 18 – 25, 2028. The Advisory Board supports Messe Düsseldorf in the strategic and conceptual development of K and advises it on fundamental issues regarding the focus, program structure and communication of the trade fair.

Greene Tweed has announced the promotion of Charles Burke to General Manager (GM) of the company’s Sealing Systems and Seal Connect® business units. Burke, who has served as GM of Seal Connect® since 2020 and as Interim GM of Sealing Systems since January 2026, will now lead both businesses as Greene Tweed continues to strengthen its operational alignment and customer collaboration across key global markets.

The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) has announced the election of David Cichocki, Managing Director, Americas, and Chief Sales Officer, Americas Consumer, at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, to its Board of Directors. Cichocki joined Goodyear in early 2026, where he is responsible for overseeing the Americas region and leading the Americas Consumer sales business, driving operational excellence and performance for the company. He brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across industrial and consumer goods companies to the USTMA Board of Directors.

The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA), announced that President and CEO Anne Forristall Luke will retire at the end of 2026 after eleven years leading the Association. Forristall Luke, who joined USTMA – then known as the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) – in 2016, has presided over a period of substantial growth, strategic evolution, and measurably elevated influence for the domestic tire manufacturing industry.

Continental has announced the construction of a new highly automated finished-goods warehouse in Mount Vernon, Illinois. The company plans to invest approximately $76 million in the project. The facility is designed to mainly serve growing demand in North America, while enhancing service levels and customer support. Covering an area larger than six American football fields, the warehouse will have capacity for approximately 500,000 passenger car tires. Construction is expected to start in summer 2026, with operations scheduled to begin in 2027.

SIMTEC Silicone Parts, Inc., has appointed Miguel Oseguera as President, effective April 29, 2026. Oseguera will lead company operations from SIMTEC’s headquarters in Miramar, Florida.
Oseguera brings nearly two decades of leadership experience in the silicone molding industry. He joins SIMTEC from Freudenberg, where he held multiple leadership roles over 19 years, most recently serving as Global Segment Director.
