Celanese announces price increases
Dallas, TX – Celanese Corporation announced it will increase prices for its engineered materials products, citing changing market conditions.
The company said the increases took effect April 1, 2026, or as contracts allow, and will apply globally across its engineered materials portfolio.
According to the announcement, the price adjustments vary by product family and region, reflecting differences in market dynamics. The increases cover a wide range of materials, including polyoxymethylene (POM), ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE), liquid crystal polymers (LCP), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), and nylon and polyester-based resins.
Celanese said the move is in response to ongoing pressures from global supply chain conditions and rising input costs, which have affected production and logistics.
The company added that it will continue to work with customers to manage the changes while maintaining supply reliability through its global manufacturing and distribution network.
Celanese, headquartered in Dallas, produces specialty materials used in industries such as automotive, electronics and consumer goods.
