Continental Tire partners for “My First Car, My First Tires” campaign

Fort Mill, SC – Continental Tire announced a new partnership with Alive at 25, a flagship program of the National Safety Council Southeastern Chapter, as part of its “My First Car, My First Tires” campaign. This collaboration unites two organizations dedicated to shaping responsible driving habits and sparking meaningful conversations about the journey that begins with a first car.

Alive at 25 is a nationally recognized defensive driving course designed specifically for young drivers. The program focuses on reducing crashes, injuries, and fatalities among drivers ages 15–24 by teaching critical decision-making skills and the consequences of risky behaviors behind the wheel. By joining this campaign, Alive at 25 will share personal stories from their team and encourage students and staff to reflect on their own first car experiences, connecting the excitement of that milestone with the responsibility it carries.

“Our mission is to help young drivers understand that every choice behind the wheel matters,” said Todd Buehrig, President & CEO of the National Safety Council Southeastern Chapter. “Through this partnership, we’re reinforcing that safety starts with knowledge, whether it’s avoiding distractions or maintaining your tires. These lessons can save lives.”

As part of the campaign, Continental’s influencers have shared their own first car stories, making the message personal and relatable. These authentic experiences, combined with Alive at 25’s proven safety education, will help students see that every driver starts somewhere, and that the decisions they make early on matter.

“At Continental, we believe education on the road is essential,” said Brian Beierwaltes, Head of Marketing US PLT, Continental Tire. “This campaign ties the joy of a first car to the responsibility it carries. Through real stories and shared experiences, we want young drivers to feel empowered to make informed choices.”

Together, Continental Tire and Alive at 25 are inspiring the next generation to enjoy the road responsibly, because every first car is more than a milestone; it’s the beginning of a lifelong journey.
