Rancho Cucamonga, CA – Falken Tires, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., announced that Subaru has selected the Falken Ziex ZE001A All-Season as a tire of choice for the all-new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek.
The all-new Crosstrek makes adventure a priority with 8.7 inches of ground clearance and Standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Sport and Limited trim levels, both of which exclusively feature Falken’s Ziex ZE001A tires, come standard with Subaru’s 2.5-liter BOXER engine for increased horsepower and confident acceleration. Offering up to 34 MPG and up to 560 miles of driving range, the 2024 Crosstrek is built to take drivers further.
Falken’s Ziex ZE001A A/S – size 225/55R18 98V – will be a tire of choice for the 2024 Crosstrek. Production of the tires will take place at Sumitomo Rubber Industries’ Thailand plant. From there, the tires will be delivered to Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. (SIA), which will produce Sport and Limited trim levels of the Crosstrek alongside other Subaru models. Crosstrek production at SIA begins this May, with models reaching Subaru retailers beginning in June.
“Subaru continues to build exceptional vehicles for the North American market, and Falken Tires is excited to support their latest product offering,” said Cliff Stewart, Falken’s Director, Original Equipment Sales. “There’s a lot of excitement around the launch of the 2024 Crosstrek, and rightfully so. We believe the all-new Crosstrek and its all-road capability will be a great match to our Falken ZIEX ZE001A All-Season tire.”
The Falken ZIEX ZE001A tire incorporates the latest in technology and design from Falken. The all-season tire features four circumferential grooves that effectively evacuate water and significantly enhance hydroplane resistance and stability in wet conditions. Additionally, chamfered tread block corners support even wear throughout the tire’s life, and a solid center rib directs excellent handling response.
