Global Polymer Summit Charles Goodyear Medalist Symposium
Akron, OH – On Monday, September 28; 8 a.m. – 11:15 a.m., at the Global Polymer Summit will host a Symposium in Honor of Charles Goodyear Medalist Charles McKenna titled: Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Glass Transition of Polymers and Rubber.
This symposium, organized by Chris Robertson, celebrates the 2026 Charles Goodyear Medalist, Gregory B. McKenna, whose pioneering contributions to polymer physics, rheology, viscoelasticity, and rubber science have profoundly influenced both fundamental research and industrial practice. The seven invited speakers reflect the breadth of his scientific impact and collaborative advances inspired by his work. Together, these talks highlight how McKenna’s research continues to shape emerging technologies and inspire new generations of polymer scientists.
