Help our industry with student sponsorships for the Global Polymer Summit

Akron, OH – The Rubber Division, ACS, is seeking support from our industry sponsors to expand a program that brings college and university students to the Global Polymer Summit, aiming to cultivate the next generation of professionals in the polymer sector.

The initiative, described as a key pipeline for introducing young talent to the industry, provides selected students with free access to the summit, along with covered travel, lodging and meal expenses. The Division said the number of students who can attend depends on the level of sponsorship received before an Aug. 1 deadline.

Program leaders say the effort has already demonstrated success, noting that several past participants have gone on to pursue careers in the polymer industry after attending the conference.

Sponsorship contributions are structured in tiered levels, with higher contributions supporting more extensive student participation. Funds are directed toward covering student expenses, including hotel accommodations, transportation and meals during the event.

In return, sponsoring companies receive recognition through conference-related publications and media, including mentions in daily conference coverage, a post-event feature in an industry publication and social media acknowledgments. Sponsors’ logos will also appear in conference materials.

The Division emphasized the broader goal of the initiative: ensuring long-term industry growth by engaging younger generations and exposing them to career opportunities within the field.

Students interested in participating in the program are encouraged to apply through the summit’s official channels.

The Global Polymer Summit is being held in Louisville, KY this September 28-30. Visit https://scholarships.events.rubber.org/ for more information.
