Kraiburg introduces high-performance silicone VMQ compound series

Waldkraiburg, Germany – Gummiwerk KRAIBURG GmbH & Co. KG offers a series of high-performance silicone compounds in its product portfolio: KRAIBURG VMQ. Developed specifically for demanding applications, these materials combine reliable performance with versatility and economic efficiency – the ideal solution when standard products must perform without compromise.

Application Areas of KRAIBURG VMQ Compounds VMQ is suitable for a wide range of applications: whether in the automotive industry (e.g. seals and hoses), in electronics and electrical engineering (e.g. insulators and housing seals), in household appliances and mechanical engineering (e.g. membranes and seals) or in the food industry (e.g. sealing profiles or moulded parts in food-grade designs).

Technical Details and Processing Options The KRAIBURG VMQ series is available in hardness grades from 40 to 80 Shore A and in red and black. It offers a number of technical advantages, including excellent elasticity. The compounds can be used over a wide temperature range from -50 °C to +220 °C. In addition, depending on the type, VMQ offers variable electrical properties (insulating or conductive) and excellent resistance to ozone, UV radiation and weathering. Additionally, the product is characterised by its lack of odour and taste, and its suitability for use in contact with food is dependent on the type.

Production Advantages The standardised composition ensures reliable quality and consistent results. Thanks to their excellent processability in common manufacturing processes such as extrusion, injection moulding and compression moulding, the compounds can be used flexibly and economically.

‘With KRAIBURG VMQ, we offer our customers a solution that is not only technically impressive, but also economically attractive. Whether in the automotive industry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or the food industry – our silicone compounds are in demand wherever high requirements apply’, explains Peter Kapinos, Business Development Manager of Gummiwerk KRAIBURG.
