Pirelli expands partnerships across North America ahead of the 2025 Motorsports Season
New York, NY – Pirelli is gearing up for the 2025 North American motorsports season with new partnerships and extended agreements with several prestigious motorsport organizations across the U.S. and Canada. Over the next months, a team of nearly 40 Pirelli team members will support more than ten major North American motorsport championships at over 100 races across the continent.
For Pirelli, motorsport serves as an open-air laboratory, where cutting-edge technology is developed, tested, and refined under the most demanding conditions. This relentless pursuit of innovation directly benefits road users, as the technology and insights gained on the track are seamlessly transferred to Pirelli’s road tires.
New Partnerships: Showcasing Innovation Across Rally and Single-Make Racing
American Rally Association (ARA):
Pirelli is proud to announce its partnership with the American Rally Association (ARA), the largest high-performance rally organization in the United States and promoter of the country’s only national championship for stage rally. As a technical and contingency partner, Pirelli will supply tires and expert support to teams competing in the ARA National Championship Presented by Kubota, a series that pushes vehicles and drivers to their limits across snow, gravel, dirt, tarmac, and sand.
The 2025 ARA season kicked off with the Sno*Drift Rally in Michigan February 7-8 and spans events nationwide, including Eastern, Central and Western Regional Championships as well as the national title, each event providing a dynamic testing ground for Pirelli’s multi-surface tire technology.
Canadian Association of Rallysport (CARS):
Expanding its rally racing presence, Pirelli is now a partner of the Canadian Association of Rallysport, organizers of the Canadian Rally Championship. Since 1957, this series has been Canada’s premier rally competition, challenging participants across diverse terrains.
The championship started with the Rallye Perce-Neige De Maniwaki in Quebec, February 1-3, 2025, and includes 8 events highlighting Pirelli’s commitment to performance in extreme conditions.
McLaren Trophy America:
The 2025 North American motorsports season will see the exciting launch of McLaren Trophy America – an all-new championship that will take place over five weekends at some of America’s most challenging racetracks. Pirelli is proud to partner with McLaren as this series makes its debut in the United States. McLaren Trophy is McLaren’s single-make race series, where drivers race identical cars, putting the focus on pure driving skill. This partnership further solidifies Pirelli’s deep connection with McLaren, as every McLaren road car is exclusively equipped with Pirelli tires, showcasing a seamless transfer of technology and performance from the racetrack to the road and vice versa. McLaren Trophy America will run alongside the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS and kick off at Sonoma Raceway on March 28–30, 2025.
Renewed Partnerships: Strengthening Long-Standing Collaborations
SRO Motorsports America
Pirelli and SRO have extended their partnership through the 2028 season, with Pirelli continuing as the tire supplier for the highly competitive races under the SRO umbrella, including championship series for GT3, GT2, GT4, and Touring Cars.
The 2025 season kicks off with Sonoma Raceway once again hosting Round 1 & 2 of the GT World Challenge powered by AWS on March 28 – 30, 2025, as well as the other three series under SRO Motorsports America – the Pirelli GT4 America, TC America Powered by Skip Barber and GT America powered by AWS.
Throughout the season, the SRO series will visit iconic racetracks across the U.S., including Circuit of the Americas, Sebring International Raceway and Road America, with the season finale Indianapolis 8 Hour at the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway on October 16 – 19, 2025.
Porsche Club of America
Pirelli and the Porsche Club of America (PCA) have also extended their partnership for three more years. With more than 165,000 members in North America, the PCA is the largest single-marque car club in the world.
Pirelli has a longstanding association with the PCA, which underlines Pirelli’s commitment to its “perfect fit” strategy: developing tires specifically for particular Porsche models.
When it comes to motorsports, the Championship of the Porsche Club of America is highly competitive amateur racing with more than 2,000 licensed racers that includes true wheel-to-wheel action on the track. Pirelli will continue to support the Championship of the Porsche Club of America by supplying tires to the GTC 3 through GTC8 cars as well as all Clubsport races.
Trans Am And SVRA
Pirelli has also renewed its longstanding partnership with Trans Am as the Exclusive tire provider for the TA class and CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series for another three years. Heading to its fourth year providing 18-inch tires for the Trans Am TA Class, Pirelli continues to glean valuable feedback for tire development from the raceway-bred versions of sporting road cars similar to those offered in auto dealerships all over the country.
The 2025 season kicked off at Sebring International Raceway on February 20 – 23, 2025. The continued partnership is another example of how Pirelli is strengthening its bonds with the manufacturers of America’s classic performance muscle cars and the broader car culture with Trans Am.
Alongside the Trans Am races, Pirelli also extended its historic partnership with SVRA – the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association. SVRA, the largest vintage racing organization in the United States open to virtually any vintage or historic race car, will share a number of key dates with the Trans Am Series. Pirelli is The Official Street Tire of SVRA, featuring Pirelli Collezione, a product range that celebrates the rebirth of iconic Pirelli tread patterns, reengineered for the most desirable classic cars in the world.
Ginetta Challenge
The Ginetta Challenge continues its expansion in the U.S. after a successful inaugural season in 2024. In partnership with Pirelli as its sole tire supplier, the British sports car juggernaut brings its prestige as a bastion of automotive craftsmanship to North American tracks, giving Pirelli the opportunity to support a new and unique competition similarly focused on translating innovation from race cars to street cars.
The Ginetta Challenge, which is sanctioned by SVRA and organized by Ginetta North America, is a single-make championship for the Ginetta G56 GTA car. Following the Trans Am series schedule, the competition will kick off the season at Road Atlanta on March 23 – 25, 2025.
Formula 1 in North America
Formula 1 continues to drive motorsports growth in North America, with five races across the continent in 2025, with three Grands Prix being hosted in the United States (Miami, Austin, and Las Vegas) and one each in Montreal, Canada and Mexico City, Mexico.
Pirelli has been involved in the FIA Formula One World Championship as a Global Tire Partner since 2011 and will continue until at least 2027, having renewed its partnership with the FIA and Formula 1. It is also a global partner in the promotion of this competition throughout the world thanks to numerous initiatives, not only on the track. Among these are projects aimed at the growth of the next generation of young drivers in all the different preparatory series – specifically, Formula 2 and Formula 3.
