RDAbbott launches 2026 webinar series with “Conductive Silicone Technology”

Garden Grove, CA – RDAbbott will launch its 2026 webinar series with a live online presentation focused on advanced silicone material technologies that extend the functional performance of silicone elastomers. The webinar, titled “Conductive Silicone Technology,” will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

The one-hour session is part of RDAbbott’s ongoing educational program aimed at providing engineers, materials scientists, and product designers with practical insights into emerging materials and processing technologies.

The webinar will be presented by Steve Griffin, Director of Business Development at RDAbbott. The presentation will explore how silicone rubber, traditionally known as an electrical insulator, can be engineered to provide controlled electrical conductivity through the use of specialized conductive fillers and compound design.

Topics covered in the webinar include the fundamentals of electrical conductivity and resistivity in silicone elastomers, common measurement methods, and the impact of filler selection on performance. The session will also review commercially available conductive silicone technologies, including PURmix conductive silicone materials from NovationSi, which are designed to address requirements ranging from static dissipation and electrostatic discharge protection to electromagnetic interference shielding.

In addition, the webinar will highlight real-world application examples in industries such as electronics, medical devices, transportation, and energy storage, where conductive silicone materials can help simplify designs, reduce component counts, and improve overall system performance.

The live event will include a question-and-answer session, allowing attendees to engage directly with the presenter. Registration for the webinar is free, and a recorded version will be made available following the live broadcast.
