RDAbbott to sponsor, exhibit, and host open house during LSR 2026 in Akron

Barberton, OH – RDAbbott will participate as a sponsor and exhibitor at LSR 2026, taking place September 14–17, 2026, in Akron, Ohio. Hosted by Executive Conference Management (ECM) and sponsored by RDAbbott and BOY Machines, this year’s event will explore the full “art to part” journey of liquid silicone rubber (LSR) development.

LSR 2026 will bring together designers, fabricators, material suppliers, mold designers, equipment manufacturers, and processing experts for technical presentations focused on the full lifecycle of LSR components. Topics will include medical device development, material selection, product design, simulation, tooling, processing technologies, automation, advanced applications, and regulatory considerations.

RDAbbott has been part of the LSR Conference since 2017. This year, NovationSi’s Brian Swanton, Director of Process Engineering, is serving on the organizing committee and will present “Breaking Barriers in Liquid Silicone Rubber by Customizing LSRs.” His presentation will cover how custom LSR solutions enhance performance and processing, including formulation strategies, material modification, and the trade-offs between processing approaches.

In addition to RDAbbott and NovationSi’s involvement, LSR 2026 will feature several partner-led technical presentations. These sessions will include material selection for medical applications, innovations in LSR processing, and advanced testing insights for flame-retardant connector designs.

As part of the event, RDAbbott will also host an Open House at its Barberton Service Center on September 17 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The facility is co-located with NovationSi and will offer attendees a closer look at LSR processing and materials.

Open House highlights will include live liquid injection molding demonstrations featuring Dow and DuPont silicones, NovaSperse® color dispersions from NovationSi, and equipment from ARBURG. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the facility and connect with industry peers over a complimentary lunch.

LSR 2026 will be held at the DoubleTree Akron Fairlawn. Early-bird registration is available through August 1, 2026, at $1,295. Registration increases to $1,595 after August 1. Tabletop exhibit and sponsorship opportunities are also available.
