RubberSource launches rubber lining mobile & online app

Cambridge, ONT – Canadian rubber lining manufacturer, RubberSource Inc., announces the launch of a new website that includes an online calculator and mobile app for rubber linings.
The new calculator app aids in the selection of the best rubber lining to use for each type of chemical service. Rubber linings are typically applied over metal tanks and pipelines used to store, transport, and process chemicals. The rubber lining protects metal from chemical corrosion and provides abrasion resistance.
The app allows the user to select from more than 500 chemicals and identify the concentration and operating temperature. After selecting these parameters, the app provides two suitable rubber linings.
Based on the type of lining, the app then allows the user to add the surface area of the tank and calculates how many rolls of rubber linings will be required. The app can also calculate the amount of adhesive that will be required for the project.
Should the user not have the surface area on hand, the app has handy calculators for the area of a closed vessel, an open-top vessel, and the internal surface area of a pipe.
“I am often in the field, helping specify projects as well as training applicators. This is one of the most useful tools I could have on my phone,” stated Nalex Cordova, Vice President of Global Sales for RubberSource. “Within a few clicks I know exactly what is needed to do the job.”
The app provides two rubber lining products for each chemical application, “This is intentional,” added Cordova. “The app is designed to point you in the right direction and get a rough estimate of what you will need. There are often unique variables from temperature changes to abrasion that a consultation with the experienced RubberSource team can uncover. This allows us to make the final ideal lining recommendation.”
The new app is available on therubbersource.com website and available through the Apple Store and Google Play.
