Sumitomo Rubber Group factory in Turkey obtains ISO 50001 certification

Tokyo, Japan – Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd announced that their tire manufacturing and sales subsidiary in Turkey, Sumitomo Rubber AKO Lastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., has obtained ISO 50001:2018 certification for its energy management system.

First released in 2011, ISO 50001 is an international standard for energy management systems, which aim to achieve continuous improvement in the energy performance of organizations by taking a systematic approach to energy management. Our Turkey Factory is the third factory in the Sumitomo Rubber Group to obtain ISO 50001 certification, following the previous certification of our factories in Changshu (China) and Brazil.
