TBC Corporation names Bill Schafer chief operating officer for TBC brands and TBC International
Palm Beach, FL – TBC Corporation has appointed Bill Schafer to the role of Chief Operating Officer for TBC Brands and TBC International. Schafer will report directly to TBC Corporation’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Sam Kato, and will oversee all TBC Brands and TBC International sales initiatives, including customer service, commercial tire sales, equipment and non-tire sales, and operations.

Schafer brings 30 years of invaluable experience from Michelin, a TBC Corporation shareholder, where he held various leadership roles during his tenure, most recently serving as the Original Equipment & Aftermarket Vice President – Michelin Beyond Road Business Line. While at Michelin, Schafer also oversaw all business-to-business (B2B) sales, distribution, and operations activities for the company’s North America Region and led a team of more than 600 people as Vice President of North America B2B Sales. And prior to that role, he served as Vice President of North America Commercial Sales, where he played a crucial role in growing sales and market share, achieving remarkable success in the commercial truck division’s turnaround.
Schafer is a graduate of Brigham Young University and holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Business Administration in International Business.
