The Rubber Division announces special offer on Advanced Rubber Compounding & Testing course

Akron, OH – Rubber Division, ACS has just made their Advanced Rubber Compounding & Testing course available virtually. As part of this new course offering, the Division is also offering special pricing options; either half of registration or two registrations for the price of one or purchase this course and receive complimentary registration for their December 6 course – An Introduction to Continuous Vulcanization.

The Advanced Rubber Compounding & Testing course is to be held November 14-17, 2023, starting at 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. ET AND November 17, 2023; half-day tour starting at 9 a.m. ET. Lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is included.

Course Overview: This course is an in-depth coverage of rubber compounding and testing. It will include classroom, laboratory and factory experiences. This course is a natural follow-up course to our “Intermediate Rubber Compounding” course and will go into more detail on all the topics covered in that course. Classroom subjects include elastomers, fillers/reinforcement, plasticizers/process aids, antidegradants, cure systems, adhesion, foaming agents, and flame retardants, compound design, warehouse storage and useful references. Testing laboratory subjects will include process testing, physical properties, abrasion, aged physical properties, low temperature properties, dynamic testing, adhesion, ozone/weathering testing, chemical analytics, and microscopy. Processing subjects will include mixing, milling, calendering, extrusion and molding. For those who attend in-person, there will be tours of the testing labs as well as a demonstration of mixing, milling, extrusion, and molding.
