The Rubber Division undergraduate student outreach

Akron, OH – The Rubber Division, ACS is asking for your help to extend their outreach to Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and Engineering students who have expressed an interest in the polymer industry; however, don’t have polymer focused programming at their college/university. This is a new audience ther are working to reach – undergraduate students who do not attend schools where the division has student chapters. We need to make all aspects of our industry known to these students and there is no better way to achieve that than to bring several of them to our International Elastomer Conference. This is a great opportunity for these students to gain more knowledge specific to our industry, make connections, and show them how amazing our industry is and why they should be a part of it! The Division is seeking support to assist with covering several student’s hotel, meal and transportation costs, so they can make this possible. The number of students then can bring depends on the support received.

Support Options: Sponsor a Student for $750; Sponsor a University/College (four students from same school) for $3,000 – Note: Requests to sponsor specific universities/colleges can’t be guaranteed.

In addition to the pride you will receive in knowing you are actively working to bring a younger generation into our industry to ensure its continued success, sponsoring companies will receive: Mention of your support in an IEC Daily article during the conference and in a post IEC Daily article (in Rubber World’s November issue) about this initiative; Mention of your support in social media posts about this initiative; Logo in a thank you ad in the IEC Guide and IEC Dailies

Please contact Gretchen Cermak at gc@rubber.org before August 15th if you are interested in providing support.
