Tire Group International acquires Avaun Tire Supply

Miami, FL – Tire distributor Tire Group International (TGI) announces it has acquired Avaun Tire Supply, a wholesale distributor based in Portland, Ore.

Avaun and TGI have been partners since Avaun was founded in 2016 by Sherko Rasouli and Freddie Capshaw.

“This strategic move is part of TGI’s ongoing expansion plans in key markets across the USA, reinforcing its commitment to growth and customer service,” TGI said in a news release.

The company added that the acquisition aligns with its’ vision to strengthen its distribution footprint in strategic markets as well as to partner with like-minded, family-oriented business owners who want to grow their business as part of an organization that shares the same values.

In addition to overseeing TGI Portland, Rasouli will take on the added responsibilities of driving sales of TGI’s house brands — Cosmo, Astro and Duramas — in the western U.S.

“We are thrilled to welcome Avaun to the TGI family,” TGI President Joaquin Gonzalez Jr. said.

“This acquisition not only expands our footprint in the Pacific Northwest but also allows us to strengthen our house brands, Cosmo Tires, Astro Tyres and Duramas under the capable leadership of Sherko Rasouli and Freddie Capshaw.”

Rasouli added, “Having been a part of the TGI family for the past 13 years, first as vice president of Middle East sales and currently as their partner in Avaun, I am looking forward to our future together. TGI is a unique company in our industry, extremely professional and meticulous, yet family oriented and devoted to making our customers happy.

“We will continue to serve the Pacific Northwest with that same commitment to excellence. Moreover, we are now able to add new brands and product categories to our offerings which will make us a better partner to our clients. I am excited to get going.”

TGI distributes passenger, light truck, commercial, industrial and agriculture tires and offer a variety of brands, including Astro, Atlas, Cosmo, Duramas, GT Radial, Kenda, Kumho, Mastercraft, Mickey Thompson, MRF and Petlas.
