Yokohama Rubber begins supplying Advan Sport EV tires to Porsche’s new Cayenne

Hiratsuka, Japan—The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. announced that it has begun supplying its ADVAN Sport EV tires as original equipment (OE) to Porsche AG of Germany for its fully electric Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric SUV models that were launched worldwide in November 2025. The tire sizes are 255/55R20 110Y for the front and 305/45R20 116Y for the rear.

The ADVAN Sport EV is an ultra-high performance summer tire for premium EVs. Based on Yokohama Rubber’s ADVAN Sport V107 tire for high-performance cars, it was developed to meet the needs of EVs and other electrified vehicle owners and achieve a level of low electricity consumption and quietness appropriate for premium EVs. The sidewall of the ADVAN Sport EV bears Yokohama Rubber’s proprietary “E+” mark to indicate that it has special qualities suitable for electrified vehicles. The tires installed on the Porsche Cayenne electric models were co-developed with Porsche and use a special compound that that maintains low rolling resistance while achieving a high-level balance of dry and wet grip. Their wet performance has earned the EU labeling system’s highest “A” grade. In addition, optimization of the belt structure enhances handling stability. The sidewall of the ADVAN Sport EV also bears the “NG0” mark, indicating Porsche’s approval.

Yokohama Rubber first obtained Porsche’s technical approval in 1988. Since the YOKOHAMA A-008P was installed on the 911, Yokohama Rubber has supplied tires as original equipment for many Porsche models, including the Cayman, Boxster, Cayenne, and Panamera. For the Cayenne, Yokohama Rubber’s global flagship tire brand ADVAN has been used continuously from the first-generation model through the current fourth-generation model. The all-season version of ADVAN Sport EV, the ADVAN Sport EV A/S V35, is also being used on the new Cayenne.

Under Yokohama Rubber’s three-year (2024–2026) medium-term management plan, Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026), the consumer tire business aims to maximize the sales ratios of high-value-added tires. One of the key initiatives under this strategy is promoting the global flagship ADVAN brand tires and the GEOLANDAR brand tires for SUVs and pickup trucks as original equipment for new cars.
