Yokohama Rubber tires coming factory equipped on the Mitsubishi Delica

Hiratsuka, Japan—The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. announced that it has begun supplying its GEOLANDAR SUV tires as original equipment (OE) to Mitsubishi Motors Corporation for use on the automaker’s new minivan, Delica D:5, which was launched in Japan in January 2026. The tire size is 255/55R18 98H.

Targeting vehicles such as small and mid-size SUVs as well as minivans that prioritize on-road driving, the GEOLANDAR SUV delivers excellent fuel efficiency, comfort, and safety while at the same time ensuring utility performance capable of handling a variety of road surfaces. The GEOLANDAR SUV was also supplied for the previous Delica D:5 model. The tire used on the new Delica D:5 model was developed based on the well-received version used on the previous model while further reducing external noise and enhancing fuel efficiency.

The GEOLANDAR brand tires have a track record of being installed on several models in Mitsubishi Motors’ lineup. In recent years, the GEOLANDAR G94 has been supplied for the Triton and Pajero Sport.

The new Delica D:5 features updated exterior and interior designs along with all-wheel control technology and advanced driver-assistance systems, further advancing the dynamic styling and driving performance that define the Delica D:5 as a truly unique vehicle.

Under Yokohama Rubber’s three-year (2024–2026) medium-term management plan, Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026), the consumer tire business aims to maximize the sales ratios of high-value-added tires. One of the key initiatives under this strategy is promoting the global flagship ADVAN brand tires and the GEOLANDAR brand tires for SUVs and pickup trucks as original equipment for new cars.
