Orion S.A., earned a Platinum rating for its 2025 performance from EcoVadis, one of the world’s largest independent providers of business sustainability ratings, the company announced today.
The Platinum designation places Orion in the top 1% of companies worldwide evaluated by EcoVadis. The assessment measures performance across four areas: environment, ethics, sustainable procurement, and labor and human rights.

BASF’s Intermediates division has introduced new product variants with a reduced product carbon footprint (rPCF) for butanediol (BDO), tetrahydrofuran (THF), polytetrahydrofuran (PolyTHF®), and N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) produced at its Verbund site in Ludwigshafen, Germany. From this site, the products can be supplied to customers worldwide and help expand the division’s new rPCF product category, which is currently under development.
