DUNLOP announce that it has begun supplying DUNLOP GRANDTREK PT20 for use as factory standard tires on the all-new Outback (US model), which was launched in the US in April 2025.

The all-new Outback is an SUV, which incorporates elements of “adventure” and offers refined driving performance while focusing on accompanying customers in their everyday lives.

Continental has expanded its market position even further in the field of electric mobility. In the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, the company supplied original equipment tires to the 10 highest-volume manufacturers of electric vehicles in 2025. This result underscores Continental Tires’ strategic focus on the growing e-mobility market. Worldwide, 17 of the 20 highest-volume electric vehicle manufacturers place their trust in tires from the Hanover-based company. They include both premium and volume manufacturers such as BYD, Volkswagen, Stellantis, BMW, NIO, Hyundai and Renault. In the Americas region, Continental currently supplies 8 of the 10 highest-volume manufacturers. In the most dynamic market region, Asia Pacific (APAC), it supplies 7 of the top 10. The Chinese market is particularly volatile: within one year, new high-volume manufacturers have entered the rankings there.

Covestro and the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology UMSICHT have launched a joint research project aimed at improving chemical recycling of plastic waste through advanced pyrolysis technology.

The project, called “Smart Pyrolysis,” seeks to develop a digitalized process that can more precisely control the thermal decomposition of mixed plastic waste. Researchers aim to improve the quality and yield of pyrolysis oil, which can be used as a raw material in chemical production.

The Rubber Division, ACS, Spring Technical Meeting features two days of presentations focused on emerging strategies to improve the sustainability and supply security of rubber materials. They integrate advances in devulcanization, alternative natural rubber crops, CO₂-derived and bio-based components, and sustainable fillers with insights into structure–property relationships, crystallization behavior and tire wear emissions.

TROESTER GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its automation capabilities with the acquisition of Turkish automation company SC Otomasyon, which now operates as TROESTER Robotics within the TROESTER Group.

The Istanbul-based company was acquired in 2025 and has been integrated into the group’s organizational structure. The move is intended to strengthen TROESTER’s position in automation and robotics solutions for industrial production.
