Challenges with electric vehicle tires

Electric and autonomous vehicles are going through an evolution, and are sometimes referred to as connected, autonomous, shared and electric (CASE). The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has defined six levels of automation. Within each class of vehicle (namely, sub-compact, compact, mid-size, sports and full size luxury), autonomous vehicles would expect to show weight increases due to the battery, power train and associated electrical equipment. The increasing weight will require tires with higher load ratings.
