Sumitomo Rubber North America promotes Rob Montasser to vice president

Rancho Cucamonga, CA – Continuing Sumitomo Rubber North America’s (SRNA’s) policy of promoting personnel from within, Rob Montasser has accepted the position of Vice President, Replacement Sales effective January 1, 2023.

The announcement was made by Darren Thomas, SRNA’s Chief Executive Officer and President. “This promotion further illustrates SRNA’s commitment to advancing key team members throughout our organization in recognition of their contributions,” Thomas said.

“Rob’s experience and track record within Dunlop Motorcycle Tires, Falken’s sister brand, has earned him substantial credentials,” Thomas continued, “plus his tenure, dedication and commitment to both SRNA and our parent company, Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., further established him as the right choice for this position.”

Rob joined SRNA in 2016 as Director of Sales for Dunlop Motorcycle. Prior to joining SRNA, he held positions in the motorcycle and retail organizations at Goodyear Tire and Rubber.

“I am delighted to take on this new role,” Montasser stated. “Falken Tires has successfully placed a great deal of focus on its value as a key replacement tire, and obviously, my new role will be to take advantage of that momentum and to build upon it by increasing the sales of our brand across all lines.
