T-PLAS International Trade fair postponed until 2023

Bangkok, Thailand –  The next edition of T-PLAS, International Trade fair for the Plastics and Rubber Industries, will take place from September 20 – 23, 2023 at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand. Originally schedule for February 2022, the event was rescheduled due to the uncertainties regarding the coronavirus variant Omicron, new travel restrictions, quarantine requirements, as well as suspended air travel from selected countries.

“We were optimistic about the 2022 edition of T-PLAS but the new variant required a re-evaluation of the already fluid landscape. Thus, in the interest of our exhibitors, visitors and all stakeholders involved and for better planning  security, moving the trade fair is the right decision,” stated Gernot Ringling, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia.

“In addition, for better resource and investment planning for the plastics and rubber sector, in view of K firmly positioned on the plastics trade fair calendar in the second half of next year in Düsseldorf, Germany, this was another reason for moving T-PLAS to 2023 rather than later in 2022. We are confident that in these two years, with the additional planning and preparation time, we will deliver an even more dynamic T-PLAS for the Southeast Asian region in 2023 that fully optimizes participant investment in time and resources,” added Gernot Ringling.

K, held every three years, is the world’s leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry organized by Messe Düsseldorf. The next staging will take place from October 19 – 26, 2022 2022.    Commenting on the shift of T-PLAS to 2023, Lee Ai Ling, Senior Project Manager at Messe Düsseldorf Asia, said:We remain committed to meet the business needs of all participants and will continue to nurture these trusted relationships for an even more successful participation in 2023. We would like to thank our industry partners and exhibitors from all over the world who have stood by the trade fair as we make these difficult and time sensitive decisions. We appreciate their continued support with the new dates.”
