Yokohama Rubber posts record sales, raises full year forecast

Hiratsuka, Japan—The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced its business and financial results for the first half of fiscal 2026 (January–June 2026). Sales revenue increased 10.4% over the same period of the previous year, to ¥639.4 billion; business profit increased 54.3%, to ¥95.8 billion; operating profit increased 100.0%, to ¥109.7 billion; and profit attributable to owners of the parent increased 104.2%, to ¥72.6 billion. The Company achieved record first-half highs in each of these core earnings results categories. Business profit margin also rose to a record high of 15.0%.

Yokohama Rubber also announced upward revisions to its fiscal 2026 full-year earnings forecast released in May, raising its projections for sales revenue to ¥1,320.0 billion (1.5% higher than the May forecast), business profit to ¥192.5 billion (2.4% higher), operating profit to ¥199.5 billion (4.2% higher), and profit attributable to owners of the parent to ¥117.0 billion (7.3% higher). Management also decided to increase its originally planned interim and year-end dividends to shareholders by ¥25 and ¥26 respectively. These increases will raise the annual dividend to ¥223 per share, ¥89 higher than the fiscal 2025 dividend and the sixth consecutive increase in the annual dividend.
