Troester expand robotic capabilities with acquisition of SC Otomasyon

Hannover, Germany — TROESTER GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its automation capabilities with the acquisition of Turkish automation company SC Otomasyon, which now operates as TROESTER Robotics within the TROESTER Group.

The Istanbul-based company was acquired in 2025 and has been integrated into the group’s organizational structure. The move is intended to strengthen TROESTER’s position in automation and robotics solutions for industrial production.

SC Otomasyon has developed automation and robotic systems for international industrial companies and has delivered automated production solutions for the tire industry since 2019. The company is known for designing and implementing robotic applications for complex manufacturing processes.

TROESTER said the acquisition supports its long-term strategy of developing autonomous production systems and enabling more integrated, low-labor manufacturing operations. The addition of TROESTER Robotics expands the company’s capabilities in robotic applications across tire manufacturing, from individual process stations to fully networked production lines.

Demand for robotic solutions in manufacturing is growing as companies in regions including Europe, China and North America face workforce shortages and seek greater automation, the company said.

Thomas Holzer, CEO of TROESTER GmbH & Co. KG, said the partnership combines the agility and innovation of the robotics team with TROESTER’s decades of engineering experience, global sales network and established customer relationships.

TROESTER, headquartered in Hannover, Germany, manufactures equipment for the rubber, cable and compounding industries. The family-owned company employs about 700 people at locations in Germany, China, the United States, Switzerland and India.
